Tell us when it happens, sitting in the drive idling? On hard Acceleration?Normal cruising?Down Hill?Up Hills?First started in the morning? After it warmed up?I also assume 1.8 engine? If so, they are solid lifters and adjusted by shims under the dics where the cam hits when it rotates, not easy to adjust but easy to check.Dave
to answer your questions the noise is so lud that you cant drive it . It happens all the time . I had a guy come over and look at it . he is a gm mech and took one listen and said that is s rod. now when we look at the oil you can see metal flakes in it . not good ! new motor time. eeven a good ud one is ing t run big bucks.
