Hi ShaneV. Yes! I have seen this vehicle and thought it was very interesting... but once I saw the estimated price I knew it was out of my league! Thanks for your post.

I'm not real impressed (except with the engine choice). Very interesting the almost carbon-copy Vibe/Matrix instrument cluster. However, its price puts it out of the Vibe/Matrix/PT Cruiser/etc class. It's probably gonna compete with the higher-end mini-utes like the Acura MDX and Lexus RX-300.

NsimkinsHow much is this new nissan going to cost?? Did you see an estimated price for it?? The other thing that will be interesting about this nissan is build quality. The altima has had alot of complaints about the interior build quality.

As far as cost, I will have to look and see where I found that information. It was a couple months ago where I read an article on the Murano so I will look and post the info when I find it for you.

That is a nice engine choice. I'm not big on the exterior front end (something makes me think "Buick" for some reason) but it's a decent package overall. But I'm not an SUV person. I'd rather have the new 350Z...

This is some info I found on the cost of the Murano. From what I am seeing, a fully loaded version would hover around $30,000."Expect the unibody five-seater to cost in the mid-to-high 20s. "From: http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caranddr ... ay_one.xml

When I heard about this car, I put off buying a new car until I got more info. But when the pricing info leaked ($26,000-33,000) I decided to just get the Vibe.

Looks very nice.........maybe we should have waited for a while before we got the Highlander for my wife. The style is not as conservative as the Toyota, D'oh.

I still like the body curves of the Vibe better. It's more defined, not smoothed over.

IMO its is a very nice looking SUV. Being a Michigander... I'll always be partial to the big three... particularly GM. But I have to say there are some sharp Nissan/Infiniti vehicles out there... like the 350Z and G35 coupe.

I checked out the Canadian Driver article on the Murano. Nice SUV, cross or what not. Makes my wife’s V6 four wheel drive Highlander look a little boring now. I do not know if it worth the 4 grand more than the Highlander. It is not in the same league ( not lead ...Salsa, nom de dieu!) as the Vibe.

that car is 46K man . not 39K (not Including Fed and prov taxes) and it is Knock off of the Vibe/Matrix concept without a doubt! Way too,too much money for me!

The Murano is the next step up for a Vibe owner. It has a V-6 Leather interior. I sat in one at the recent car show and I loved it. It has a little more of a cruiser feel but hey it was very comfortable.

I just test drove the Murano, and its pretty nice. From the outside it reminded me of my Vibe except for the 18" rims and being jacked up a little more. The usable space inside is also real close to the vibe, a little wider and maybe 2-3" in the back. The interior is sweet and 3.5V6 is also nice with gas mileage still 20 town and25 highway. The styling is very Vibesque with the rear traingle window at the side rear. It's a Vibe on steroids with a higher credit card limit

Infinit has the FX coming out. It too is a crossover vehicle. (Ugly )Nissan is having a little problem with their car pricing lately. I think they have about 7 cars in the 26-32k range including the Infiniti. This may come back and hurt them. Too many choices for 1 car company to have. I listed all the cars I can remember that are in the same price range. V-6 Altima, Maxima, 350 Z, G35 coupe, G35 sedan, Nissan Murano, Nissan Pathfiner.

I bought an 2002 altima last year, and love the platform. The interior quality is worse than that in my Vibe. But the performance, interior space, and exterior styling still wow me. My 2.5l 4-banger alti claims 175 horses and was only $2000 more than my Vibe. It's got a much higher "thrill" factor when driving it too. I didn't need the 6 cylinder engine after realizing that I could screech (spin) the front tires on take-off with three adults in the 2.5. So I'll applaud Nissan for their recent engineering and aesthetic designs. I'll bet the Murano is a real kicker. And Nissan is one of the reason the "big three" are finally taking chances on more risky, higher styled designs. Go Nissan!KSNeptune

I like it, I think it looks like the AMC Gremlin back in the 70's. I drove a Gremlin for 3 years.

Big wheels on that Murano - 18 inch - standard I think.

Looks great except for the Star Trek Enterprise looking grille. I'd have to change the grille, but otherwise, it looks like a great car.

I saw 2 Murano yesterday at the shopping centre. They are much bigger then a Vibe. Beseide on of them, it had a Corolla (last generation) and it looked so small. Beside the other one, it had a Dodge Caravan (1994 model) . Damn, they were about the same size!!!
