Finally getting around to making a garage for Big Red now that I've amassed enough pictures. Here he is the day he came home (yes, I'm aware most vehicles are usually female, but mine is definitely a boy) This is his first load of cargo, and what he was bought for: several hundred thousand dollars worth of video equipment at a time! A winter shot: Adding the splash guards and the new interior pieces: Getting the new fog lights installed: Adding the GenVibe stickers and removing the dealer sticker: PICS OF THE NEW HIR BULBS INSTALLED COMING SOON AT SOME POINTAnd pics of the seat cover install!

Coming really really well! I like the seat covers, where did you get those at? The fog lights look really good too. Ever think about getting yellow ones? (I really like the look, so this suggestion is based off of personal interest). So far so good! I like the new vibes.

Wet Okole
http://www.wetokole.com/And here is the thread about that:
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=38333I bought mine with the adjustable lumbar support which is fabulous, and the covers are really thick and comfy. And they'd better be, at that price! Still trying to figure out the fit though.I personally will probably leave my fog lights the way they are, I like how they match my headlights. But either way it looks way better on my car than the way it was before!

It's just that I usually only think to use my camera at home when I'm doing something.

Is that an oversight? Not sure if I want it or not... it's not a bad look, but it is money, and it's not on my top priority list for mods (my list being window tint, a rear bumper protector, and eventual replacement of the intake/filter and MAYBE exhaust). I may or may not decide down the line to get one, but I don't think it looks bad the way it is.Quote, originally posted by ramenboy... »hey! i saw that vibe in person!!!! woohoo!!!nice clean car, michelle! good jobdid you go to purdue by any chance? I could get one of those windshield ones and a giant flag and some magnets... (oh wait that's called tailgating season).

You can even buy their cleaning kit for an extra $15 or so (that's what I did).

Nice Vibe !We almost got the same car, but mine is blue and has a GT wing.Though mine came from factory with the fogs.In Canada, you had to choose the 1SC package to get the fogs and 17'' rims. The 1SB didn't have them at all.

They'd better hold up to being washed!

Supposed to be machine washable... punctured a small hole in the back of one while moving... my fault, but have been scared to wash them w/out trying to patch it first.

All of my latest mods that I haven't posted! First, the addition of the rear bumper fascia protector by Bushwacker from a month or two ago: Then, from TODAY: the intake install and new custom painted engine cover! Before (note to self, engine area really needs a bath):The old intake:In progress:Design flaw, in my opinion: forcing all three pieces to come together onto one screw... a pain!!!Precision painter's tape application! Was going to tape off the letters as well, but the silver was just so chipped and gross that I didn't bother, and just sanded off the silver paint entirely:Spray painting with paint specifically for plastic:Let the spraypaint dry while we worked on the intake and went out to buy more paint, removed all the tape and then the resulting details were added:The complete work (the cover is not on the engine for real yet, I just placed it there for the pictures, I'm waiting 24 hours for it to cure before I put it back permanently. The rest of the engine still needs a bath, but oh well:Oh, and the results of the intake? Man that is a throaty sound! Kind of awesome and I was actually a little intimidated- not used to it yet! Trying it out on the highway later on today (briefly) but so far on the regular roads the car hasn't exploded or died so I think we did something right!

Looks great Michelle ! Glad to hear you like the sound of the intake and also glad to hear everything went smoothly ! The engine cover looks great as well. I have been tossing around the idea of just getting one from a Matrix with the Toyota logo on it to throw people that aren't in the know off .Quote, originally posted by ponta2147 »Design flaw, in my opinion: forcing all three pieces to come together onto one screw... a pain!!!I couldn't agree more. That's why I said screw it and just zip tied the EVAP solenoid to the bracket !

Quote, originally posted by 1SC »Great work ponta ! Looks awesome.Wanna do mine ? But in dark blue...Honestly? I probably could if you supplied the materials! It was super duper easy to do the engine cover, the hardest part was taping off the squares which took longer than the rest of it combined lol.Quote, originally posted by tpollauf »Are you sure you don't have too much time on your hands??? Nice work girl I just may have to do the intake mod to my Vibe also At least it won't take me 2 -3 months to design & complete Will be checking it out REAL SOON at Indy What, a girl can't have a free day once every two months??? What better way to spend an independence day weekend than working on the red white and blue... I mean red silver and black! I know that my next two weeks are kinda busy with work, so I'm trying to cram as much modding in as I can this weekend (possible caliper paint tomorrow?) so that I can get back to work and not worry about it for the meet.Though, I have the rest of the can of plastic-bonding red spray paint that's going to nag at me until I do the interior silver pieces.........Quote, originally posted by J_TO_ENVY »I couldn't agree more. But I feel accomplished that I got it to work, it was awful though. Not sure if it was worse than replacing the headlights or not.

I installed my mom's yesterday and I didn't even bother with the bracket. I grabbed a zip tie immediately and voila... done without any swearing . I barely looked at the directions to install my mom's. I think it took about half an hour. I am getting way too good at installing and removing those darn intakes .

Day 2 of 2 and the mods for the meet are now FINISHED, all that's left is a good interior detail sometime this week (which I'll probably take out to have done because I don't have time) and a good exterior detail next week.Today's mods featured all paint- calipers and interior pieces.Taking apart the interior pieces... wasn't so bad with two people, we figured out where the clips were and pushed them all in without breaking them at all! Though APPARENTLY my dealer broke a bunch of clips on the bottom section already when they installed the fog lights... lame.Pile of piecesEverything removedSpray paint fun again! Much more detail than the last one, and a couple of small mistakes... shhh.Awesome spider that decided to make its home on my mirror.Taking off the tires- new stands worked very well, next we will use them to do Chris's calipers in a few weeksPainted with tape- good thing I used tape!Dried and tape removed.Putting the tire back onAssembling the interior (need to leave the windows open in the car for a few days to let it air out)Another angleCar has some new "character marks" from when we were stupidly prying up instead of pushing the clips in... as soon as I saw those were happening I stopped it immediately and revised our plans- no other marks on the car. You can also see how the bottom section doesn't snap into place due to the clips the dealer broke.View from the top with the lights on
