Moonroof cover blocking moonroof

I have an 05 Pontiac Vibe with a moonroof. Earlier today, while out on a drive, I was enjoying the Easter weather. I had all the windows down, and the moonroof open. The sun was shining in on my eyes, so I slid the interior cover closed temporarily to block out the light. When I went to slide it back, it would't recess all the way into the roof. Then, when trying to close the glass part of the moonroof, it would't shut all the way. The cover appears to be hung up on the mooroof in the rear (I can't see how it is hung up) and is preventing the glass part from closing all the way. The cover will not go past about 3 inches from the front of the glass part of the moonroof. Both the cover and the moonroff will move along their respective tracks until they get to near the front of the 'closed' position. The coever slides completely shut, but the glass part will not close the remaining three inch gap. If they are in the completely 'open' position, the cover will no longer recess all the way into the roof of the vehicle, maintaining the 3 inch gap on the back side - while the glass part will recess all the way. The cover will slide freely so long as it is in front of the glass part.Any help on how to fix this without having to disassemble the headliner would be appreciated.
