Lowering spring questions

Hey everyone,New to the forum, and to the vibe in general. Just got new wheels and tires on the vibe, and am thinking about installing lowering springs as well. I dont want to slam it to the ground, or totally kill the ride either. I am just looking to close up the gap in the wheel wells to make it look nicer! I once owned a Focus hatchback, and put the SVT springs on it which dropped it about 1.5 inches. I think that would probably be what I am looking for here as well. What do you guys recommend I look for? I hear the Eibach kit is good, as well as the Tein set. Like I said, this is my DD, so I dont want to kill my ride, just firm up the body roll in the corners, and eliminate a bit of gap in the wheel wells. I am running stock size wheels and tires, so rubbing should be a big issue.Any help would be great! Thanks!

Sounds like Eibach Pro Kit or Tein H-Tech springs would be perfect for you.

in my signature at bottom of this post you can kinda see how much Tein H-techs lower (18 inch wheels/tires)Tein S-techs lower even more, i chose H-tech cuz i still wanted clearance for trailer hitch and was worried mud guards would rub too much even though i took off the mud guards eventually anyways (rubbed on big speed bumps, etc.) Tein H-techshttp://

www.tein.com/products/s_tech.htmlif you want to elimate roll or make ride a lil stiffer they say to install a front/rear sway bar (hotchkis, progress, trd) I dont have either the front or rear aftermarket installed, am going to install one soon probablymy vibes a DD and I also use it as a personal emergency vehicle for my local volunteer fire company

That looks great, It is like seeing my car with the suspension installed....and stock wheels. I think the eibach kit sounds like the right way to go. It will get me just a bit lower without compromising ride quality and wont slam it down to the ground! My wife has to drive this car sometimes too, and we have a little girl, so I dont want to beat them to death. It sure would be fun to be able to take the corners with less body roll though when I am driving by myself! So I am pretty much sold on the eibach's or the Tein H-tech's. Any ideas what pricing I should be looking for on a set? Where have you guys bought yours from?

I have Pro-Kits on a Civic. They are great! Three years w/no issues. Handles great and looks better.I got mine off of eBay, but I've not seen any for a Vibe there. Probably just going to have to do a lot of Googling until you get the price down as low as possible.
