well, I was sitting at work and checking the UPS tracking number of my lowering springs, and it said they were delivered, so I ran home really quick to get them (since I won't be going home after work) and they were on the doorstep, waiting for my arrival.They are now in the back of the Vibe, and will be installed on Saturday since the WONDERFUL Michigan weather cancelled my other plans.Oh yeah, I got the Pro-kit which is a 1.5 inch drop all around. I paid 187.00 on Ebay for them, brand new.

Cool. I look forward to seeing what the Vibe looks like with the drop at the Michigan Rally.

Aaron, that reminds me, can you update my file for the meet to say something about these springs?

Wow, that's cheap! that doesn't include a 4 wheel alignmnet too does it?

I'm having a friend here from work help me install them. He's good, so hopefully they will go in painlessly saturday morning.

I have a set of Eibach springs p/n 8272-140, if anyone is using these are you also using a different strut if so what kind? I'm not going to put the springs on until I find a nice control-ride strut for them because the O.E. are a comfort based strut; not suitable for these springs! Once all the ball joints and tie rod ends wear in it is going to feel really rough with those OEM shocks and wicked coils and I already have 20,000 kms on mine!

Yeah, I didn't get my springs installed this weekend, but I might take her out tonight to get it done at Belle Tire instead. Since I don't have a digital camera, I can't post any pictures for those who really like pictures. I'll take some with the film camera, and try to get them scanned, but that'll take a while.

It's pretty much a done deal because I've already put down $100.00 and had the part shipped. I asked him about the stock struts and shocks he told me that the Pro Kit does not lowerer the vehicle to the point were it affects the overall performance of the suspension to were it bottoms out. I am so excited to get them put on. I should have them on the vehicle within a week

Since I didn't buy my springs at Belle Tire, they wanted to charge 260 bucks to install them. I think I'm just going to wait till the weekend, and see if the friend I mentioned before will have some time to help me.

Sounds about right mine cost $500.00

Well, I started installing my springs. I had a friend from school come and help me (good ole engineering school)... and we got the front springs in with no problems, and it took about 2.5 hours, including a break for dinner (20 minutes). Tomorrow after work I will be installing the rear springs, and she'll be done. I got some pics with my buddies camera, but he took off before I could get them downloaded. I'll post some pics prolly tomorrow. God, it really does look so much better lower. I think having the right tools really made the difference. I've got all the air tools and such, so it went pretty smooth. Not to mention a 6 pack of Michelob Light to make the time pass more smoothly. Autozone hooked me up with some good spring compressors too.

I figured you would have to because when I was looking under the car a while back, i noticed they went up into there. Also, I was wondering what those little square openings in the back of the wheel well were for. I popped them off and noticed the top of the strut. That little bolt you can see thru that opening was a pain in the (removed) to get off. (it holds the spring cap on, don't take it off without the spring compressed safely).
