Hey guys,Just picked up a used 2006 Vibe Base on Saturday. Have always liked them, and needed to get rid of my SUV which was killing me on fuel economy. Getting a new set of wheels and tires put on tomorrow, Eagle model 192's in 16x7 silver, and new potenza re960 pole position tires. Worked them into the deal on the car since it has the steelies and hubcaps! Pretty pumped to get the car back with the new shoes on it!Anyways....great forum, looking forward to hanging out with you guys!I attached a pic of it when I got home from the dealer.Michael

By the way I see you are from Illinois, GenVibe is having an Illinois meetup on April 10th up here in Schaumburg. Dunno how "central" you are in IL so it may be a bit of a hike, but wanted to make you aware! There is a thread about it.

Someone took really good care of that Blue paint! Nice car. Welcome to the Vibe hideout. Don't forget to pop another picture after you get your new wheels and tires on. RE960s are excellent shoes!!! Hope your Vibe lives up to your mileage hopes. I love mine so far, it's very fuel stingy. You can nurse a lot of miles out of a gallon if you keep your tires full, the alignment straight, and the air passages through the engine clean. How many miles on the engine?

The car is at the shop right now, dropped it off last night to get the work done. I bought it as a certified used GM car, means it has a 5 year 100k mile powertrain, and a 12mo/12k bumper to bumper. The car has just over 54k on it. It needed a couple of things done on it, the radio display was only half lit, and the armrest hinge was broken (both of which will be taken care of by the dealer). They are mounting the new tires and wheels as well as replacing the cabin air filter. Has a new air filter as well. I also ordered the pontiac all-weather rubber floor mats for it, I always like having the rubber to catch the dirt and grime. The car itself appears to be in very clean condition, the carfax showed it was a one owner, locally bought and serviced. The person traded it on a minivan, had 2 kids they needed to carry full time. Since this is a spare car for us (the other is a 2008 Highlander) I wanted the hatch for the convenience, and the thrifty fuel savings for the commute. During the nice weather I ride my bike, but this will make a great car. It needs a good wax and buff, has some swirl marks in the sunlight, but overall I am very pleased with how clean it is.Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome, will be sure to get some good pics of the wheels/tires after I get it picked up today from the dealer.

So I picked the car up today from the dealer, got the new wheels and tires done! They look.....AMAZING! I am very happy with the choice. For the record, I went with stock size Potenza RE960 Pole Position tires 205-55-16, and Eagle Style 192 16x7 silver painted wheels. I think they look amazing, so glad I worked them into the deal when I got my vibe!I will post a few pictures below for your viewing enjoyment!Hope the picture links work! Thanks for the advice and welcome guys!
