Hi and hello. I'm new to this forum. I picked up last week a 2004 vibe in lava with the gray lower body cladding and my question was has anyone ever painted them a dieerent color besides the color of their car?. I was looking at painting them all black and buy black rims to match it all. I figured with the black and lava color it would be a good combination?. Another question is what kind of paint can you use?. Any help would be appreciated....thanks

It has been done before by GrayFox... however he is no longer on the site... if I remember correctly, he took it to a paint shop. I got to see it in person, it looked really good, he also had the side mirrors, and part of the hatch painted black as seen below...

Still trying to find the right paint. I saw some touch up paint for the bumpers in black that require no prepping or like that krylon fusion paint.
