i know theres a few metallica fans out there. well hopefully you heard the new album was released early. got my copy yesterday. its pretty good, but still missing the "ride the lightning" and "master of puppets" sound of the old days. yet, its still good to have some new metallica music finally.

Those are awesome, classic Metallica tracks. It is great that they are releasing the new CD though. I am going to have to get it.

The Metallica of ole is definately the best, but the new stuff is still really good. I was not a fan of Load, but re-load was a step up. St. Anger is pretty sweet. They are playing 2 songs on the radio from it now... St. Anger, and Sweet Amber or something like that. I've got my copy of the CD already... it's awesome.

Yep, I got mine yesterday too (pre-ordered). The whole album is very good but Frantic is my favorite song so far. It was my favorite from when I heard them play it at the end of MTV Icon. St. Anger and Invisible Kid are others I like alot. The included DVD is also very good.

May I ask how much you paid for it with the DVD and where you bought it at Scott?

The DVD came with the CD. I pre-ordered it from the Metallica.com website. It was about $15.

I'll get my copy shortly. But as most of us already said, nothing can beat the old sound of Metallica. BTW, my favorite album still And Justice For All...

The Black album is still my favorite followed by S&M. This new one ranks up there as one I'll keep in the Vibe.

Now that the lead singer has his issues worked out, I'm hoping this album rocks. But......South Carolina radio blows!!! I haven't heard half the stuff WRIF Detroit is playing off their Live Internet broadcast. It's like I go home up north, and there is a whole new music trend.

Future Shop had a deal for 3 days only (June 10-12) for only $12.99! Great deal, great CD. I haven't checked out the DVD, but I'll be pounding the Dobly Digital setup thru it's paces this weekend...

I got the new album on the early release date and I think it rocks! Took me a few listens (if that's a real word) through to get used to it and now it is really growing on me. Seems there are a few Metallica fans on here. I know that old school 'tallica is still the "best" but a band has to change with time in order to keep getting new fans. The style of Master or others will not be duplicated, only so they can move on in their own new musical style and expression. I like the new stuff a lot and it has not left my CD player/Winamp yet (no plans for it to leave anytime soon). BTW... it sounds great in my Vibe!
