And a job at home isn't as glorious as you may think. It gives you opportunities to slack off and get distracted without proper supervision.

And I totally don't mind that at all.

Nahhh I suppose it's not worse than any other job. Just be aware that, 9 times out of 10, people are going to treat you as a trained computer monkey who is there to execute on all of their ideas, rather than a trained expert on aesthetics and design theory. Be prepared for a lot of demands that will look horrible and yet you're forced to do them anyway because no one will listen to you. Lots of banging your head against a wall in those cases. But it's those other 1 times out of 10 where people actually listen to what you have to say that make it worthwhile.

I think I could deal with that as long as I'm getting paid. I am also a persuasive person

Well the getting paid does help, that's why I love working way more than being in school (and I used to be one of those people that liked school). Just a fair warning is all! I'm sure you'll figure it all out and I'm always available if you want any advice or design help! I'll stop hijacking your thread now.

My ex owned her own graphic design business and used to say the exact same things about her customers. She eventually closed the business out of frustration.
