For those of you sports fans that don't know, Sammy Sosa was caught using a "corked" last night at Wrigley Field! You can see by his reaction! Just watch the media blow it out of the water for the next month! What do you think?

I don't know about honest. Thisw may have been a key to really getting his career off the ground.

The disappointing thing is that, it may diminish all of his achievements in the past and the future!

Honest mistake my (removed). If it was a mistake then why has the barrel of the bat disappeared? You know the batboy made sure it never gets found.Picked up the wrong bat?! What's a corked 'practice' bat even doing in the dugout? And, why does he need a corked bat for practice? If you had a corked 'practice' bat wouldn't you have it clearly marked so you don't 'accidently' use it?I'm not buying it and he deserves all the heat the media gives him.

I think he really hurt his career. Honest mistake or not. We will have to wait and see what happenes.

I'm a huge Reds Fan and I remember in 1996 when Third Baseman Chris Sabo, was caught using a corked bat! Article..... http://www.ohioonline.com/v01/i08/reds.html (Under NOTES)It was a big deal! But anytime you "cheat" it should be a big deal!

I will say this, I don't question his past accomplishments. I think he was probably using the cork bat to help him come back from the disabled list and to regain his confidence after getting beaned awhile back.

lol 76 bats were scanned today! I have heard of other superstars corking a bat for batting practice also! We will see what comes of it!
