Name that Part...

These two parts were "found" under the hood of my 2010 Vibe. There was no obvious leak of coolant, oil, or any other fluid. The hose did not smell like anti-freeze, or strongly of anything else. I'd just completed a 2,000 mile drive with nothing out of the ordinary observed. The A/C, heat, cruise control all worked fine after finding this part. The coolant overflow was at the normal level and the radiator was full.Obviously it's going in to the shop as soon as I can make an appointment, but I figured I'd post this here as a "brain teaser".Anyone want to take a shot?

Here's another photo. I tried searching that part number and came up empty.

I'll bet that those are the original parts, that may have been changed under the recall for the 1.8. It looks like a vacuum line that was likely replaced/re-routed for the recall. The technician probably forgot to remove them after the work was done.Recently star deceiver posted photos of the recall work done - so you could maybe use those for reference. Mine's a 2.4, so I can't compare.John

I'll bet that's it. The dealer just recently did the recall work, and the parts were up on the "shelf" right where I'd put them if I were doing the work. I'd forgotten that involved a vacuum hose. The engine is still too new to identify which part they put in, but there are no open vacuum ports, so I think I'm OK.Thanks!

ugh I havent owned a vibe for a while but I swear it looks sorta like a hose that went to the intake... or near there. And the vibe mount...not too sure on that, dont remember seeing that and it looks new.

Looks like the mechanic did the old "place and forget"! My pics are at the bottom of the page:
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=38522 If you look at my second pic, right above the uppermost red arrow, you'll see attching the steel line is said metal bracket, probably from the old line.
