So Im the very proud new owner of an 09 vibe, and I was about to start working on a system, I was debating either dropping in a slim 12 in the back orrrrrr.... putting in a 600 watt 4 channel amp and a good set of components in the front and back......What is a boy to do????

Do you carry rear seat passengers very often? If not, I wouldn't worry about the rear speakers. Maybe spend that money on a better set for the front.

ummm a couple times a week, that and I like good balance in my system, it would make me crazy listening to nice clear audio in the front and muck in the back...

ok. I meant that there isn't much need for rear speakers at all, if you're not carrying passengers.

I have an 09 as well. I put a good set of components in the front and a 600 watt amp for power. The people I have in the back say they can hear the music just fine. Ill eventually do the ones in the back but for now, what I have is just dandy. As soon as my GF moves in and splits the bills Ill be able to afford the sub for the back. BTW, the sub box will be custom made to fit in the same area as those with the moon and tunes system. There is a shop in town that said they could do it for $150-200.

What shop is that? Bossier isn't that far from me. I'm very interested to see how much space they can get out of it, and what size sub can fit in it. Please post some pics when you get it done.

The Audio Edge in Bossier. The are gonna install a Diamond Audio Hex 10 or 12" there. That sub is a very shallow sub, whats cool about it is that the magnet pack is on the front of the speaker. Anyhow, the website says that the 10" only requires .6 cubic feet of airspace if you do a sealed design box. But like I said, its not in the funds just yet but I will definitely get back to you on that.
