I have decided to forego the laptop, keep my desktop, for a while, and get a netbook instead. I wll also need mobile broadband service. I found the HP Mini 311–1037NR Netbook at Verizon and it seems to be a nice unit at a great price. I can get it for $199 (tax deductible). 5GB mobile broadband service would be $60/mo. (tax deductible) I would upgrade the ram to 3GB (max allowable) and also pick-up an external cd/dvd drive. it turns out this little guy will be more powerful than my desktop...lol.Here are the specs:It’ s ultra– portable.
