Finally got here and got internet so here's my first use on Gen Vibe. Went and got the car last Friday. They jumpstarted it there and when I got home 3 miles down the road the battery died and it was dead dead had to get a cheapo UK battery to hold me off til I get Autozone to ship me. Here is a picture of it in front of our town church and on the other side is the remains of a castle.

That's wild!! Why would your battery completely die just from a trip across the pond? Unless it was on its last legs anyway?Nice to have you back, DD! Congrats on making the trip.

GREAT IDEA!!!!And oh, it was already 5yrs old. Yeah, I got 6 out of the OE in my Mazda and it was still working, but cranking was slow and so was kick-over.

Batteries last different lengths of time. I've had 4 year to 8 year longevities. The 8 year battery came OE in a '92 Suzuki Swift that I used as a commuter for 10 years. That battery was as tiny as the car. One of the guys at work had an old Ford Ranger 2X2 and the OE battery in that thing lasted 9 years. I think it was an '87.

I used to hate driving the Voltz around the plant when we made then. I swear I almost smacked into columns inside the plant a few times on the left side...but a few people did actually run into things, so guess I didn't do too badly. Congrats on getting the Vibe there safely sans a battery. Definitely keep the pics coming!
