4 new Bridgestone Potenza G019 (205/60/16). Should be getting them put on in a week. Decided to bump up the sidewall a notch, due to our crumble-tastic Michigan roads. Crudely Photoshop-ed one on the stock 16-inch alloy in the 3rd frame. You know, just in case you couldn't imagine what it may look like. Actually, it was just as excuse for me to waste 10 minutes:

Great tire! Agree with the sidewall increase. I know what those roads feel like and what they can do to rims!!! Ah feel your pain.

I knew I would ensnare Sublime's commentary by omitting some info! Just kidding. And I cringed at those pothole pics, Deceiver. The Mountain Dew bottle for scale reference was too much! Or is that Faygo Moon Mist?! Solidified my sidewall decision.Details: Bought them through Discount Tire (I've heard too many bad stories about Belle Tire, as of late). Brought in a Tire Rack web page printout, with price and all the sizes (Rack wanted only $82/tire and Discount wanted $102/tire). They matched it immediately. However, they added $40 because TireRack wanted $43 for shipping to my zip code. They were not in stock on site, but will be in by Wednesday. Which is fine, because I'm keeping my winter tire/rim package on for another week. Just in case. All together, they will be around $450 when it's all said and done. I'm not having them put them on immediately though, as I am going to spend an afternoon cleaning up some road salt and grime on the inside of the alloys, brakes and whatnot. I also have some "VHT-inspired" plans for my front calipers...

My last price quote was at Sam's Club for 205/55/R16 for $89.34 + tax and install.

For the G019, the 60s are cheaper than the 55s. The 55s are $10-15 more per tire, depending on where you shop. Not sure why. But, I have always been after the 60s because of the road conditions, so it worked out for me. I know spring time means low-pro tires for most of us, but my drive to work alone is pretty bad.Something I just noticed, there's a $70 rebate going on for Bridgestone when you buy a set of 4.Not sure if that's everywhere, or just through Discount Tire, but they never mentioned it to me. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, as the program just started yesterday. Good thing I didn't pay in full just yet. I would have purchased them too early to take advantage!

I am getting the Bridestonegrid 019 at costco for $410...that includes everything....I will be writing the check our for $410......

Very similar to what I paid up front. I think I paid $390. I also lucked out and got a $70 rebate at the time. Great tire. I take them off during the winter, and rotate in the warmer months every 3,000 miles or so.

I wouldn't recommend all-season tires in the winter. Especially like the winter you guys just had in New England. I have never driven my Potenzas on snow or ice, but I've gotta think they will slip, despite having new tread. In fact, their tread looks more conducive to clearing rain well, and not much else. Having your AWD might help to a degree, but I would try and track down some snow tires and steel rims come October/Nov, if $$$ permits. Night and day difference for me and my FWD Vibe.
