ok so there are definitely some new noises this winter with my car being dropped about 3in with tein ss struts/springs.noises you're hear in the winter;1. the entire dash rattles alittle everywhere in the winter regardless of being dropped i think we all know that.2. when you first start the car in cold temps and the car is still cold and you drive in reverse you hear a metal rattle noise. Cat heat shield is rattling against the shield around the car. this seemed to happened after replacing the cats with new OEM ones 05/06 model i believe on an 04 because the cats are alot bigger3. clunk noise on front passenger side. Ive checked everything my self along with a few mechanics which found nothing wrong. but i found out its just a temperature thing, if the car is sitting in a heated garage the noise wont start until the car gets cold. exact temperature i don't have yet. related thread click here

My opinion on the rattling in the dash is caused by the plastic in the dash. Mine does the same thing when it is cold.

I have that cold dash rattle as well, fortunatly it only seems to happen when releasing the clutch and taking off from a stop and only when it's below -5C.I'm guessing that your new struts/springs don't like the cold either!
