transmission gearing

what is the ratio difference between the 5 and the 6 speed transmission? is the six speed just got an extra overdrive gear or is it geared different for the take off?

I think the base car would be better with the six speed from the GT,there is to much drop in the ratios 1to2 not bad but 3 to4 is to much and 5 is retarded .Just take the first five from the GT and the base car would be better to drive
