Our 05 Vibe has the original RSAs that I will replace this spring. It isnt as bad as you might think as we use dedicated winter tires for about 6 months of the year. I guess I am wondering what quality all seasons tires are genvibers buying these days.

There is only one tire to buy: Michelin Primacy MXV4's. They plow through snow and are the best rated tire on tire rack. Don't waste your money on anything else. I have the Michelin Exalto's on my '03 Vibe, and the Primacy tires on my '09 Vibe are even better than the Exaltos. And if the ratings are accurate, they will easily outlast the Generals in the long run.

I compared the Michelin Primacy's vs General Altimax HP. Although the Michelins have an extra 5,000 mile warranty, and might last longer, the Generals are $50 cheaper/tire. IMO, the $200 saved by buying the Generals will pay for half of the next set. Tirerack reviews have rated these tires almost equal to each other.

I do disagree about Michelin's getting noisy as they age. Again, we'll have to compare notes down the road. I was able to sell my RSA's for $100, offsetting the price a bit, and getting $70 back from Costco, so I think I got a steal on the Michelins.

Just an update:On this too nice March 16th day I had installed a new set of four Yokohama Avid T4 (205/55R16). Total price with taxes was $465 CDN.
