Well my wife wants some bump in her vibe.Something more than the moon and tunes but not as much as my rockford 12" p3 and a 1500 watt amp.I already have a 400 rms alpine amp and looking to do maybe a 8 or 10 inch in the back.I already have a couple boxes for a 8 inch sub.Shoul i go with a 8 or upgrade to a 10.Any recommendations would be nice and if you have a 8 how does it sound and does it really add to the bass from the stock system.

I have 2 15's and it's crazy loud. I would think an 8 would be great if you got a good quality one. As long as it's in a nicely sealed box and the amp is adjusted correctly the 8 should get the job done.

I have an 8" Kenwood (KFC-XW800F) in my car, in a sealed fiberglass enclosure. Sounds pretty good, but could use a little more power than I've got going to it now. Then it would sound awesome

Very nice. How did you get it to stay there in that spot. And what year vibe is it in.Would you be interested in fabbing a duplicate of it and selling it.

It's an '09 & I drilled a couple screws into the plastic.... I'd much rather my sub stay put than worry about holes in the plastic. Besides there's more than a couple cars in the scrapyards, so parts aren't hard to come by.Not sure if I would fab one up & sell it, between my time & materials, it could be pricey

Man that is a big box for 5 eight inch subs. With a box that big, why not just do a couple 15's.

I currently have two 8" Kicker Comp subs in my '04 Vibe and I am very pleased with the results. They are the 8 ohm version, each 100W RMS, wired in parallel and bridged across channels 3/4 on a 50x4 amp. The sub enclosures are a pair of wedge-style boxes on the floor behind the front seats. This set up works for me since this is primarily my work car and I never carry backseat passengers.Years back I ran a single 10" Kicker F-1 free air sub in my LeSabre. I miss that set up. Still have the sub though. Both set ups gave me enough bass to satisfy my musical tastes (Beastie Boys, Metallica, Korn, Pantera, etc.) and preferences (a bit bassy but not overwhelming).
