That was a hard hit. Notice that the doors still oppenend. The other vehicle looks like a pickup. Vibes seem to have a very good safety structure around occupants.

Looks like a Mustang. A 99-04 model.. And looks like it did better.. I'm pretty surprised..

Hope everyone was OK in that mess.09vGT might have a point about it being a mustang. The side mirror looks just like the one on my '94 mustang and the hood appears to be a composite piece the way it broke, just like my mustang. I think the fact the picture is taken from the ditch gives the illusion that the other vehicle is tall but I'm not convinced. Poor taste in rims if it is a stang though....

Head-on collision, Mustang vs. Vibe. "It was estimated the two vehicles that hit head-on were traveling over 60 MPH."Here's a link to the weblog story ---> Mr. Nascar’s adventures

Hard to tell but that red car farther down the road that was also involved looks like a Firebird

It said that there were 2 cars behind the head-on cars that got T-boned.

Also another mustang in the pic......Anyone say that the 3 pony cars were racing or out messing around, and the vibe got caught in the middle?

Wow! Hope everyone survived that. Head-ons are never good...not that any accident is. This may sound silly, but it makes me sad seeing pics like this. I know first hand how much hard work hundreds of people put into making those cars pretty everyday, and all it takes is something like this. But if all made it out ok, the car doesn't matter anyway. :-/
