Hi, I'm new the forums. I own a 2006 Pontiac Vibe and I am looking for the bolt that secures the battery hold down bar in the front, next to the radiator. I am currently using a zip-tie (see picture) and I'm having trouble finding what size bolt it is. If I remember correctly, 12mm socket was used to remove it.Local auto shops have been a real pain in the *** and I trying to find the bolt online but, I've been having trouble finding its size and for less than $10. thanks for your help!

You should be able to take the rod to any hardware store and match it to a nut.Aron

It was similar to the bolts nearby. Take a look at the attached picture, would it be same as bolt 1, 2, or 3?

The bolt is an M6 X 15mm. You could get away with anything up to 20mm long. Any hardware store'll have what you need.

It's got the same bolt head size and the pitch should be the same but it has the built in spacer that would rest inside the hole of the headlight. You can take the headlight bolt out to gauge the size just don't try to find one with the built in spacer you need the threads to go all the way to the top of the bolt head.you will understand when you take out the bolt what i'm talking about.

Or... you could try going to the hardware store and asking for an M6 X 15mm bolt. This means a 6 millimeter diameter bolt that is 15 millimeters long. I pulled it out and checked in case my lack of posts worries y'all and the fact that I've worked with metric fasteners for 40 years gives me confidence that I'm pretty close on those dimensions;)
