I have Netflix and love it. When we moved just over 1 year ago, Netflix decided that our new place didn't exist. It was a new subdivision, but I was going crazy with going to the video store. Fortunately now Netflix recognizes that my place does exist (although Google doesn't).

I used to have netflix...it was nice and convenient but I'm kind of impatient and didn't like waiting for the movies to arrive by mail lol I'm using redbox now which is still cheaper than renting at a store.

I'm a fan of the unrated versions and Netflix is always there for me on that. Redbox doesn't provide them and the local movie store provides "Rental Exclusive" versions which NONE come in the unrated formats

I typically use RedBox with my gf and movie theaters. My parents used to have Netflix, then cancelled because they were tired of being halfway through a movie, having it skip, stall, stop completely. And this was AFTER they cleaned the discs as advised. Too many errors on the DVDs, they would end up gong to BB and renting it to finish watching. They resigned up recently because BB is overpriced and eventually in line to close its doors if they cannot get their stuff right. Netflix can stream movies to your TV now anyways. And as a side note, you can go into a Big Y (grocery store) and they have Blockbuster rental booths (similar to Redbox) and the rentals are $1, again like RedBox. But yet you can drive to an actualy BB and pay $5 for the same movie??

We have Netflix, but it's more for the Instant Viewing than the mail-in DVDs. I do like that I don't even have to leave the house for the DVDs if I don't want to though. Our mailbox is right by the door so I don't even have to step outside. LOLAnyway, we have the Roku to watch the instant stuff on the TV, and it's great. There are a lot of TV shows on there plus movies...the Starz Play movies are usually fairly current too, and they rotate much like the selection on a premium movie channel. It was $100, one time cost, and now we get the feature we liked best about Digital Cable with a MUCH cheaper monthly fee...only $10/month.

Netflix marketing seems to think consumers appreciate all of their "pop-up" advertising that even my pop-up blocker can't seem to stop. So for me, I will not patronize Netflix.

I doubt it's the company itself that's doing it...it's probably "affiliates" who are earning a commission through some third party to sell Netflix subs.

Love it. Netflix took the place of cable for us. We got sick of spending 70 bucks a month to flip through channels with nothing good on.I find Netflix's mail turnaround time to be excellent, 1-2 days usually (although they've slowed up a bit from a year or two ago). Plus, we just got a Roku box for Christmas and have all the streaming video we could ask for. Just wish Netflix would work out better distribution deals with some of these studios so that they could offer more content through Roku.I read recently that MGM, and a few other studios, are working out a deal with Netflix where they'll offer much more streaming content in exchange for Netflix delaying availability of certain new releases by 30 days (to give studios more time to sell DVDs). I'd be okay with that.
