Fumoto sits too low?

I had purchased the F103N (N for nipple) from qwikvalve.com doe my 05 Vibe. So today is my oil change and after replacing the drain bolt with the Fumoto I step back and see that it points down about 45 degrees from the horizontal and it appears that at least some of it is the lowest part of the undercarriage around the oil pan area. I could imagine a crazy circumstance in which the car could bottom out in that area and put undue stress on the valve. So I decided to revert to the OEM drain bolt. Has anyone else noticed this situation? I now wonder if it would have been recessed enough if I hadnt selected the nipple version ?

The co I work for bought some used MACK'S that had them, the Maintance Mrg had us take em off.Personally Idont trust em for the clearance issue you mentioned.Brass is soft & snaps off easily, naturally this is MHO.

because a wrench is too much to use, to remove the bolt? I understand the concept behind the device but IMO it's just asking for trouble.

I use it successfully with my other vehicle. I was just surprised that the valve installed on my 05 Vibe/Matrix/Corolla pointed down so low.

Peaty over at "scoobymods" I believe uses this product. Seems to be popular with the Subaru crowd, not sure if the members here who own a Subaru vehicle use this item or not.
