i'm getting very frustrated with the poor quality of my vibe...it seems like all the production issues and build issues manifested themselves in my car and skipped everyone elses...among different (many many different) squeaks and rattles, a broken stereo, and other things, my MAP LIGHT just went out!!! i've never heard of this so soon...those things are supposed to last just about the lifetime of the vehicle, and i've only had it for a little over a year...anyone else get this?

Surprisingly not a new issue.. quite a few members have had this problem already:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... ?id=3852My Vibe was probably made very near yours in production (my Vibe is over a year old, but I haven't owned it for a year quite yet) and I do have a few squeaks and rattles that seem to come and go as they please.Overall, however, I have not had any mechanical problems to report. Try not to get too upset... we're driving first year vehicles (some, like ours, are very early first year) so the issues always seem to come out more pronounced than later years. I try my best to figure out a way to get rid of some rattles, either do-it-yourself or bring it into the dealer.

Well mine finally went out after 15 months, though I haven't really used it much.Anyways, I had a thought about replacement possibilities, and bought a sort of equivelent LED bulb. The reason being is that I figured it might be less likely to burn out, and would consume less power therefore if I were stupid enough to leave it on over night, it wouldn't drain as much battery power. The bulb I bought has a cluster of 3 LEDs on it. However the problem is that the light doesn't seem to illuminate well as it's mounted horizontally instead of vertically.I really don't feel that I want to put too much effort into this, but it looks like I'll have to somehow change mount for the bulb so it faces down.
