NEW VIBE OWNER

I've been lurking around here for a few months before and after getting a "new" used vibe.I bought a 2007 Vibe with 60k for my wife in November after her 1999 honda civic was written off in an accident.I originally wanted to get a Toyota Matrix, but they were a few thousand more dollars. I also drive a 1998 Toyota Tercel with over 385Km on it, so after that dies, the Vibe will be my everyday car and will have to get her something else -> another used Vibe maybe?

Another lurker turned member. Not bad! Welcome to the forum. Looks like you know a thing or two about Toyota longevity... 385K out of a Tercel! How's it holding up?The Vibe is a fairly tough GM?Toyota product. If you end up with 2 in the family, they will serve well. Most of us really like the versatile interior space and configuration. By the way, now that you've ended your lurker ways, post some pictures of you cars when you get a chance. We have a bunch of wacky car picture driven members! You don't want to keep them waiting too long.

tercels holding up good. I changed the clutch at 375K, other then regular wear and tear stuff, its the only major thing I've had done. The body's pretty banged up from driving through the bush with my canoe or kayak on the roof, but i only have a tiny bit of rust on one of the wheel wells.Even if I won the lottery, I would still drive this car... just to see how many kms I can reach!!I just bought a uhaul trailer hitch for the VIBE, just waiting for some warm weather to install it. I plan on pulling a small utility trailer in the summer.Still gotta take some pics of it!

You're somewhat upstream from me, so let me know anytime you notice anything that feels warm so I can be ready for it. We'll be lurking about the site, looking for those pictures!
