So, I have already lost a center cap on my vibe. Of course I have the 18 inch wheels. Called the dealership and have not heard back from them. That was like a month ago. Also, Just today I noticed one of my lug nut caps were missing. What's goin' on? It makes my brand new car look tacky..

The center caps for the 2009 Vibe GT's were redesigned because of this issue, here is a thread that has all the information you need. In the thread, is a part # for the updated center cap. Take it to your dealer, give it to them, let them order it, and do it all under warranty. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=38650As for the lug nuts, it should also be covered under warranty. Unless the dealer installed the "anti-theft" nuts all on 1 tire?

I've noticed a number of new Vibes with alloy wheels missing the center caps lately. Conspiracy?

Well, I just called the dealership. My salesman was busy with another customer so he is going to call me back. I will give him the part number and ask about buying just the caps for my lug nuts. Hopefully they have them..

You should not be paying for items that are covered under warranty.

They are no covers or anything on them. Both our GTs had silicone installed around the center caps and, knock on wood, they are still in tact and show no signs of coming off anytime soon as it seems quite a bit was used, but hey... whatever works I guess .

What was the build date of your Vibe? I wonder if it makes a difference if it was before or after the August 2008 TSB and if the Silicon Fix was applied at the factory after August 2008 or if they still relied on the dealers to follow through?

My mom's was built in October of 2008 and mine was built in November of 2008. They both came from the same dealer (mine was a dealer trade from another dealer and was only at the dealer I purchased it from for half a day). I highly doubt this dealer would have bothered putting silicone on the center caps so it's quite possible it could have been a factory thing.

How did everyone get it covered under warranty? Mine is claiming it's not a warranty repair, even after showing them the GM service bulletin with the warranty repair code on it.

So far, they have not fallen off and I don't anticipate them to.If one dealer refuses to do it, contact another dealer. You could also just remove your wheels and put some silicone on the back sides of the center caps (which is what was done with our GTs).

The discussion is about the little plugs in the center of the wheel, not a whole wheel cover.

Mine is a 2009 AWD Vibe and it had them, till I changed the wheels, after an accident and bent one.BTW: I still have the later model caps for sale.
