Just thought i would share my story today with the vibe. was driving to get chipotle, pulled in a parking spot and someone spotted out that my tire was going flat. had to put the spare on until i got home. the tire was under warranty so got it patched for free. (im not a big fan of patches though cause i like to drive the vibe rough so ill see if it last or not)

Crap... I thought you said you went through a sh#tpothole, but is was chipotle. Now we know that chipotle can give you a flat tire. Just be a little more gentle on that old tire, now.

Some places will actually do a patch-plug which is an excellent repair. On a side note, this thread brings back memories from an episode of South Park's "chipotle away" NSFW http://www.videosift.com/video...-Away

Good thing the spare had air in it. I know a lot of people who never check their spare!

One day I noticed something shiny in one tire (I check all tires before I go anywhere) and it wasn't low/flat/leaking, so I made it down to have fixed, going slow on a back road. They had the hardest time getting it out, whatever it was-a thick piece of smooth rounded metal, about 4 inches and painted red. They didn't know what it was. I won't have the tires rotated again because I don't want the patched one ending up on the front; just have to wait until I get new tires to replace the originals (SOON!) Aren't those donuts a joy? LOL My Firebird even had one and it was the freakiest thing because it had the meanest pull to one side with that tiny tire on a big car.

The last South Park season was one their best in a while. One of these days, I'm going to have to try chipotle to see what it's all about. Before I do, Star, I'll check the spare's pressure, just in case.

I've never had a problem with a patch before. Probably had 8 or 10 done over the years. Discount Tire does them for free, and I agree, the patch/plug is good.
