Fog Lights On Without Headlights? Is this possible

I love the fact that the Vibe GT comes with big fog lights but if you have ever driven in a driving snow or in thick fog, the lower the beam the better. So why do I have to have the low beams on to have the fogs on? Any way to get around this? Do DRLs prevent this?

Independent fog lights. It is very easy. I chose method #1 because it's the easiest and I am not too knowledgable with wiring, but I didn't have a single problem doing it. It only took about 15 minutes at the most. I have never had a problem forgetting to turn the fog lights off even though it will not beep if you leave them on. The fog light light still lights up on the dash so it's almost impossible to leave them on as long as you're paying at least a little attention to the dash or the front end of the vehicle. You do not need to disable the AHLs/DRLs for this to work. This is by far the best (and easiest) "modification" I have made to my '09 GT! I recommend it to any '09-'10 owner who has factory fog lights.
