Wind, Howling, or Whining Noise
I have not noticed this at all the last two weeks, but tonight when driving home I noticed a noise in the 09 AWD. The noise appears around 40+ mph and is a howling type of noise (if I am describing it properly). Not sure where it is coming from, if it is the roof rack, tires, rear differential. On top of that, the dealer replaced one of the headlights today and scratched the bumper in the process. Have to go back when the other headlight arrives because it came in broken and they are going to have to fix the bumper. Either try to get the scratch out or paint the bumper. Eh, wondering what the noise is now too.

The new winter tires I just put on howl at highway speed and click nicely in parking lots (studs).I only notice wind noise from severe crosswinds. When it colder outside I've noticed a whining noise on my 09 GT whenever I take off.. or anywhere between that and probably around 40 MPH. Its definitely not wind, or at least not on mine.. something in the engine area I'm guessing.. Didn't notice it during the summer..

Well, the pavement is not wet today and the noise is not there. I am thinking it is the rear differential and hoping it is a normal thing. Back to the dealer it goes anyways!

Oh, just kidding, Been following your purchase choice and resulting headaches with delivery and paint repair and related problems. Just poking at you with a good natured stick is all. I haven't a clue what your problem is. Just sorry you've yet another headache to work through.Dave
