That sound you hear is the collective sigh of relief of all the members of this board in the mid-Atlantic area who bought snow tires this season and are finally watching it snow!!!!I thought for a minute I heard Winter Tire Guy out there too, who has no doubt been sharing our pain....Thanks Sublime! Before any snow trucks materialize, I am going to get right out there and give those Altimaxes a spin

And finally here in balmy New England this evening. We have a little over 3 inches on the ground and it's still snowing at a fairly good rate. Can't believe Texas... even down to Houston beat us to the slick stuff this year. It was colder in Brownsville, Tx. yesterday (Friday 4 Dec) than it was here. Somehow, not correct.

Ottawa is forecast to have a 20cm snowstorm this coming Wednesday. First winter snowstorm around here invariably means accidents everywhere, and the well prepared such as myself have to deal with all the stupidity out there on the road.

We had here in Lowell Ma 'bout 4" and I was out in it during (work) and love the fact that the Blizzacks are in their element during these conditions.

finally got enough snow to cover the ground. barely. now i just need some errands to run. i just hope people aren't driving slow as heck. i should put a bumpersticker on my car that reads, "stop driving stupid in snowGET WINTER TIRES" or "all season tires aren'tGET SNOW TIRES". i'm in one of the places that gets an ok amount of snow, nothing compared to some of the michigan, canadian, and nothern vibers, but drivers here act as if even the littlest dusting is deadly and drive 20mph on the highways.

Hey star, careful what you wish for. You live in a quite an area. I use to live in Whitefish, Mt., and took several trips through southern BC. Probably one of my favorite Provinces. Hope you get some snow soon!

Bummer, dude. Not fun stuff to move or drive in. It started snowing here at 7:30 am and now have 3 inches of new on the ground... over 1" per hour. Hope it doesn't go over to rain... might along the coast. I'm about 15 miles inland and near 700 feet elevation, so we'll see.
