This was a 5 minute modification. While I was out tonight, I ran into another member of the forum here, Merzbow. It was really nice to meet him in person finally. After some coffee and a trip to the automotive department of Meijer @ about 1:30 AM I got to thinking about this thread I started when over a year ago. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=36016Basically, due to my bigger frame, when I sit down in any vehicle's seat (except a full-size SUV or Truck) my hip pushes the seat belt latch against the center console and it rubs/wears the 2 pieces of plastic together causing the colour of the plastic to become white. Walking down one of the isles, I looked at the padded shoulder straps for the seat belts. They are velcro and came in gray, black, and sheep skin. Well, I ended up picking up the black colour one.Went home, took some sewing scissors, cut it in 1/2 (there is yellow foam inside), and stretch them far enough around so the Velcro attaches to each latch to prevent the rubbing. $6.00 modification after all said and done. Here is a picture of what they sorta look like, I just cut it in 1/2 with scissors. I am going to go ahead and do this to the other 2009 Vibe I purchased back in July also!!! I will post a more detailed write-up next week when I have some more time.
