2010 folding cargo cover

The cargo cover I'm using in my Vibe is similar to most of the others on this post, but I made mine to fold upward to removes easily. For the supports I used 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" pine trim material I found at a home do it yourself store. To build your own, you will need one at 52" and one at 49 1/2". The ends will need to be tapered to fit correctly so buy slightly longer. The hinges I found are 1 1/2" wide and about 6" in overall length. When I installed the hinges, I left a gap between the two arms. I installed two flat head screws, one on each arm. When the arms swing to the open position, the two screw heads meet head to head. This allowed me to make the supports level by simply backing out the screws if it sagged in the middle. The top is 5/16 x 24"x48" ply wood cut to shape, and held to the supports with 12 wood screws. The cover material is dark grey speaker box cover material which was bought on ebay and fastened to with a staple gun. Quick note. If you want the cover to fold without fliping the back seats or removing headrests, you will need to notch the cover.
