Nominee for Dumbist Trucker of the Year

About 1:30 PM yesterday (Tuesday 12-1-09) on I-77 just a few miles north of Charleston, WV there was a semi driver who apparently discovered he was going north when he wanted to go south on I-77. Instead of proceeding to the next exit a little over 1 mile away to get turned around he was attempting to cross over to the other side via the crossover path that is for emergency vehicles only. The back end of his trailer was blocking the entire passing lane on the northbound side where I was. Fortunately traffic was light so we all could get into the right lane and go around him. I have seen passenger vehicles do this which is bad enough. I have never seen a full length semi try this.
