Subwoofer install

Has anyone attempted putting a Sub in their Vibe? I have the base model with the moon & tunes package and was thinking that the rails in the back might make for a good mounting of a removable sub box. I have never done a project like this before though so I would appreciate any thoughts or tips on this. Also, I am leasing my vibe so I would have to utilize a method that would have the least effect on the car.Thanks,-=q720=-

Not sure about the sound quality, but that rear cargo box looks to be a good size for lining with about 4 subs across

I have two 12 inch MTX subs in my VIBE in a bandpass box. Unfortunatley the box isn't tied down but it's not that bad. This is just a quick fix. I plan on putting subs within the fixtures or maybe bass tubes when they are available so I can get my cargo space back THE BASS IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!

I found a powered subwoofer at
http://www.toyotaparts4u.com for the matrix (look in the parts catalog). It's custom made to fit in the back on the tracking. I emailed the site to ask if they knew if it would fit in a Vibe as well and they thought that it should. I don't see why not since they are essentially the same car. Any ideas on this? I would post a photo of it here but I'm not quite sure how. [IMG][/IMG]

Thanks NSimkins! I didn't even think about just posting a link! I am fairly new to audio projects so the specs are a bit confusing to me. Does this seem like a good deal?

i thought of actually taking the two side compartments in the back and trying to mold in some 8" or 10" woofers and then not take up any extra compartment space. You'll need woofers with low air consumption though.......

that speaker amp combo is pretty sweet has anyone thought about using the space where the spare is?if you took all the parts out including the spare, that would be a good spot...plus you could replace the main floor that opens with a nice thick piece of plexi glass for the clear look w/maybe some neon lights in there
