But, it wasn't just him, two other cars had already hit the animal.Gary Bateman was heading south on U.S. 59 a little around 7:40 p.m. Sunday night when the Pontiac Vibe he was driving hit a cow about 3.5 miles north of Ottawa.Bateman had taken to Overland Park Regional Hospital, while his passenger, Darlene Bateman, was not hurt.Both of them were wearing their seat belts.
