Mystery Button

There is a little round black button to the right of the gear shifter. I can't find anything about in the manual.... anybody have a clue what it could be?

shift lock release. like if you dont have keys or cant start the car, you push that in and you can move the shifter. ie. into N so you could push the car somewhere.
