I have a Vibe GT on and was wondering if anyone else had ordered one and could tell me about how long it takes to get one in?

When I initially ordered mine my dealer advised me that it wouldn't be avalable for 10 weeks! Now he is saying 6 weeks. http://www.nummi.com/ ,our manufacturing plant told me that the was no queue jumping by customers but my salesman sez that there is.Very confusing. Can anyone shed any light? Thanks, Ken.

I've had a GT on order for over two months, we got the ivoice last week and expect delivery to our dealership sometime this week or next. I'm ready!

I placed my order for a Vibe on Jan 13th and took delivery on April 27th. They are building those suckers awfully sloooow.

This is just for my own education. Why are people ordering their cars? I was able to find exactly what I wanted on the lot:Vibe GTBlack w/ Mono17" wheels6 CD changerPower PackageNow I do live in Detroit so there are more Pontiac dealers to choose from but are these cars that scarce elsewhere? I am just curious.

I have ordered my Vibe, Shadows, Automatic in the last week of february. I receive the confirmation Friday that my Vibe is built and ready to go to my dealer. I hope to have it in 2 week... because California - Quebec(canada), is long.

Didn't seem like a tall order to me but all the dealers seemed to have slush boxes on their lots. Thanks, Ken.

I saw an estimate GM had posted a couple weeks ago that it is taking 12-16 weeks to complete a Vibe order. That sounds a little exagerated to me, but it isn't all that uncommon for a car to take between 4-8 weeks to build. The reason things are backed up is its early in production, so they are producing at a pace faster than they are selling Vibes to get and keep dealer lots stocked with cars.

Hey everybody!! I just joined the forums so I thought I would try out this posting thing!! I just ordered my vibe, a monchromatic shadow GT...and the dealership "said" it should be 6-8 weeks...of course who can believe them!! But hope it doesn't take too much longer than that...I really want my car!

Welcome to the forum Tink! Maybe they have cut the time down a little! Hope it doesn't take too long for you to get your Vibe! 6-8 weeks doesn't sound too bad for an ordered car. Good luck!

Order Time? TOO LONG

I've had my Vibe on order since the first week they were released back in Feb. They told me 8-12 weeks, and as of may 10th, they told me my order is getting held up because of the monotone paint option I choose. Because I wanted Abyss (black) with no Grey trim on the bottom, my order is held up ARGH!So now they're saying once there is enough order quota on the monotone paint option, it will be another 10 weeks!! Can you believe that?

When you were ordering, how much did the dealiership ask you to put down as good faith money, if any.
