Hi gang. Just changed my oil for the first time on my 2009 2.4L. Was surprised to see that 5W20 is the recommended weight. Truthfully, I always wondered how 5W30 was thick enough for the old 1.9L. how do engine designers set up the clearances to work with thinner oils? I understand why thinner oils are "greener" and appreciate that, but do we sacrifice bearing wear and engine life in the long haul?Any lube geeks out there....

...per the Owners Manual we're running 5W20 (synthetic) in our 2009 Vibe Base 1.8L.
