need help diagnosing which part is the culprit.04 vibe gt with fidanza flywheel, act stage 2 clutch, short ram intake and borla exhaust. Light came on around 120k, now at 140k. Light use to come on and off but for the most part has stayed on consistently. Seems to be a idle issue sometimes, drops to 100 rpm and floats around then comes back to normal. Also have a severe loss of power. Ive already replaced both o2 sensors and cleaned the MAF sensor. I am suspecting the CAT...any help would be much appreciated.

Have you had it scanned and if so what is the code?

My buddy used his multi scan tool, dont remember if it had a number. I do remember it reporting "bank 1 lean". Where do I get it scanned for free? I tried autozone but california passed some law recently where they are not allowed to do it. I couldnt believe it, so I went to other part store chain's too and they said the same. Is there suppose to be a number? I would think the dealer would charge...

Severe loss of power, idling problems. Since he's replaced the o2 sensors I'm assuming that he's already checked the simple stuff (plugs, clogged air filter, maf sensor). My friends 93 civic had the same problems. After changing most of the sensors, plugs, wires, distibutor, filters, the problems were still there, nothing helped. Put in a new fuel pump, all problems solved. And all this with no cel.

However - reminds me of a USDA regulation that won't allow a cattle rancher to test his own cows for mad cow disease.- and the Court upheld it!
