strange sound when I start the car on a cold morning

I've noticed this ever since I've owned the car and I have no idea what it is. As best I can describe it, the car makes a "whooosh" sound upon starting on a cold morning (30-35 degrees or so). Only happens first thing in the morning, lasts just a second (right when the motor turns over) and then starts up just fine. The idle is good, temperature gets up there just fine, etc etc. Anyone have this issue, or any idea what it might be? I wish I had a way to record it.

it's a 2003 GT, stock air box, stock everything. 83k miles on it, it's been doing this on cold mornings since I got it at 47k.
