Sup guys I just did a custom mod to my dash where I changed out almost everything I could to bled LED's. I am very satisfied with the results and thanks to Wolfman213 on how to actually get to the gauge cluster. Here are the pictures that I took while doing the mod. I will be making the custom LED lights for the console buttons if anyone is interested.

Awesome job!! Looks great!! The light around the cig lighter, is that something for people that have the cig light only or is that something custom that you have done? I've never noticed a light around there, but I just have the cover and no lighter.

nice job what are we looking at in the 2nd,3rd, and 4th pics? The stock and aftermarket led size difference??

Yup. I removed the stock blubs from their holders and custom made LEDs to go in their place.

It looks great! I've considered doing something similar but I like the red that is already there.

Yes! Looks great but what LED bulbs did you use and where did you get them? Couldn't 'lovehisraffe' use a red LED to get the same effect in red? You used white? Good job.

If he would use red LEDs, then his gauges would all be red. There are not separate leds controlling the red and the white. It's based on the overlay. They use a red film with white LED's to get the red.Houseofbugs did not use white leds, for the reasons I mention above. He used blue, at least that's what it appears to be, for the gauges. The type of LED is a PLCC2. It's a surface mount led. Not sure where he got his, but check out Oznium.

looks excellent. I absolutely hate the look of my gauge cluster (all orange, with no real contrasting colors). Like Wolfie was saying, I think its due to the orange overlay so I'm not sure changing my LEDs would make a difference..? Can that overlay be removed (all or part of it)?

Looks fantastic! I did my AC buttons, and have been very happy with it, but I'm not quite that amibitious to change everything else!Quote, originally posted by Wolfman213 » The light around the cig lighter, is that something for people that have the cig light only or is that something custom that you have done? @vibolista: Yes you can use red for the same effect.@mac99d: it cost about $15 for all the LED's and resistors. Ebay. FTW @bodhi_tree777: I am pretty sure it cann be removed. Are you sure its the overlay that is tinted and not the LED's? Check ebay for aftermarket overlays.@GMJAP: I have an 05. It had the green ring around the cig lighter.

The 03/04 overlay I am almost 100% sure is actually clear/white. Amishbuggy changed his LEDs and his was an 03 GT if I remember correctly. All of the orangish areas are now blue. The 05+ they went to and overlay that was mixed between red and clear/white. That's why if you look on houseofbugs and mine, the red ring is pretty much gone. You can still see it to an extent, but not completely.***edit*** Here is the link to amishbuggy's gauge cluster.

Can you dim the LEDs?

Yes, the LEDs will still dim with the stock dimmer.

My 04 has the red and white overlay not the all orange that the 03 has.
