Which vibe engine is best for performance?

In terms of mod for mod, which gives you the most horsepower?Which one is designed to be able to withstand 250+ horsepower?Can the awd vibe be swapped to a manual transmission? is it a easy bolt on job or is extreme fabricating involved?is there a reason behind not giving the awd a 5 speed? These are all questions swimming around in my head.

To convert the AWD to a manual tranny, it will take a ton of work. It can be done, but it wouldn't be cheap. By the sounds of things, if you are wanting to get a Vibe to do 250 hp, you might have the $$$ to do it though.

Insted of doing the good thing and adapting the "kit" for a 5speed auto to be used in both cars in the future, Toyota opted insted to do the short term cost-effective thing and dump the existing kit in the Vibe/Matrix.The Rav4 now uses the new updated 2.5L engine but still has to make due with the 4speed auto.... kinda stupid.
