Check the fuses and relays and the electrical connections on the starter itself. Sounds like the starter is on it's last legs.

Went outside today to see where the starter was located at ,found it then gave it a couple of taps with a hammer and the car started. So I'm guessing like everyone else has suggested thats its the starter.Going to call around today to see if anyone here in town has one.

Before you ante up for a new starter check all of the connections. There are multiple wires to the starter itself, make sure they are clean and tight. You then have ground points, both on the body, the battery and the engine. If the ground is loose or dirty your starter will act like you describe also.Disconnect, and clean clean clean. Draw a diagram if there is any question about what wire comes from where so you don't mix things up and create a bigger problem. Digital photos are better than drawings!Dave

Did you finally get your problem solved? I've got a simular problem it will not start sometimes. Then I'll have to wait about 45 minutes without trying to start it, then all at once it'll start. I was told that the security was causing it to lock out because of the key tumblers so I had the tumblers changed ($200.00) and it is still doing it. I need to get it resolved so I can trust the reliability of it. Please, I'd appreciate any help from anyone.

Finally got the car back from the shop a couple of days ago .I had the starter changed no problems since. The mechanic told me the starter was sticking and that it had a dead spot. Now I have a new problem the remote starter doesn't work. When I was plugging the control box back in I touched a couple if the prongs together and a small puff of smoke.Man can't win.
