BUT, you gotta back up that all flashy marketing attitude with functional brains for the execs that run the company. GM choose not to.Pontiac didn't die by accident. It was intentional. Pontiac was put on the 'endangered' species list by Bob Lutz in 2007 when he called it a 'damaged brand'. Pontiac was essentially 'jettisoned' by a decision of the GM board of directors in the spring of 2008. It took another year to make it official.

Pontiac died after the last 73 TA Super Duty was made. What a great car! I wasnt too upset over GM pulling the plug on them. Pontiacs best was done long ago in my opinion.http://1973superduty.com/About_Me.html

My best friend has an 05 Pontiac Grand Prix.. It doesn't start half the time, radio/air temp controls went out and had to be replaced, gets horrendous gas mpg, and the display is randomly like, "CHANGE OIL SOON" after being reset... I hope my Pontiac doesn't see these probs..

You should be ok, becuase its essentially a Toyota Corolla.....LOL.
