Hello! I put a TRD quick shifter in my vibe. To install the TRD quick shifter get it and follow the instructions that are included. The installation of the TRD quick shifter is pretty easy.

according the TRD this is supposed to reduce the shift throw up to 35%StockTRD these pics show the difference in thows between stock and TRD. This is from first to second gear. Maybe a side angle would have been better but I think the difference can still be seen.

yup there sure is but not for 09! Theres a short throw shifter for 3/08 1.8 cars. It looks different from what I bought. Also I decided to remove my quick shifter because I wasn't fond of the crunchy feel it added to the shifter. Perhaps I will try it again in the future but after driving with it for a few weeks I decided to remove the part.

Thanks for the detailed review here. I'm considering putting a short throw (probably TWM) some time in 2010, and am just starting to do some homework now.The "crunchy" feel you describe.. I'm wondering what it would be like when it's

But hey, some people like the feel of a notchy shifter. I just don't think it could make you shift any faster and I drive pretty lead footed sometimes.

Yeah, eh, and it's not like anyone's doing 4 upshifts in 5 seconds in a base Vibe :-P.I'm just not a huge fan of the slight vagueness of the stock shift setup. I guess I'm just going to have to accept it'll probably never feel nearly as precise, yet smooth as a BMW shifter. (but for now, going to continue research)
