My $4500 2003 Vibe GT

I picked up the Vibe today, and got it for $4500, it has 62K miles on it, and checks out great. Fun car to drive with the 6-speed.Pictures do not do it justice, looks great in real life.I am the 3rd owner.Since the first owner de-badged it sometimes back, the 2nd owner did not know it was a GT version, (I didn't tell him). I kept referring it as a "Base Vibe model with the manual".This car is a blast to drive compared with my Fusion Orange auto Vibe.Fun to take to 80 in 5th, rev it up, punch down to 6th and pass 90mph.Only thing I have done to it is change the oil, and take the roof rails off.I'm not gonna keep it, I'm gonna sell it for a $ profit.

Why is the battery being held on with an industrial zip tie? Time to order a battery tie down kit, OEM Floor Mats, and badges... Why take off the rails? When changing the oil, what oil filter did you go with, the taller or shorter version?

Hiya ou.girzz.LOL I noticed that battery tie down on first inspection and commented on it. I went with the taller oil filter, it was bigger than my Fusion Vibe filter.Nah, not gonna add floor mats and the like, not gonna have it that long, the new owner can do that.

ou,grizz,Yep, bumper and hatch replaced with factory parts and painted.Thats why such a good deal. I took the car Saturday to body shop and had the manager check it out. Everything fine underneath and around the Vibe. Not that you would believe it upon dickering with the owner, I knocked $3000 off the asking price. I pretty much told him that I was buying a "Death Trap", and he was almost apologetic upon 'settling' for my price. This is a good car at a great price.

As for the taller filter, you used the correct one. Taller filter was meant for the GT.

Good point ou. There's a GM salvage yard near by that has those parts, and NAPA for the battery tie down.
