Ford Transit Connect - WSJ Article

Interesting article in today's WSJ.The Ford Transit Connect is imported from a Ford Plant in Turkey. Has been sold overseas since 2002 - just recently in the US.All are imported with windows and seats to avoid a 25% tariff - then after import the windows and seats are removed to sell as a delivery van. The windows and seats are demolished and recycled. This tariff dates from the 60's when Europe placed a tax on US chickens, so the US retaliated by taxing imported trucks. Both tariffs remain today. But I guess there is no way to export chickens as something else and change them back into chickens after they enter Europe.Don't you just love our Congress.
