I'm not sure if this was something that may have happened during an update, but it doesn't pop up new IM's anymore when I log on...if I don't go into IM history, I may never know I have IM's waiting?

Did you install a pop-up blocker application? If so, that would be a cause.

You don't have the option to block IMs set in your profile do you?

Well, had to take a shot at it. Do you use IE for your browser?

Alright, I take my leave of this one for now. I know I had troubles with Mozilla. Even though I hadn't told it to block popups from this site, I had to go in and explicitly add forums.genvibe.com to the safe list. Doesn't really apply in your case though. Interesting.

I used to love Netscape. Now I loathe it...

quote:I used to love Netscape. Now I loathe it...Yeah, I'm still not a fan of Netscape. Mozilla is Netscape without the bloated code. They've taken all the great parts and made a streamlined stable browser out of it. So far it's displayed most everything just like IE with the exception of some imbedded Windows Media files (Windows Media support is nonexistant in Mozilla on the Mac side). Plus, at least for my Mac, it's about 25% faster than IE. I just got really tired of IE swallowing it's tail all the time. I crave stability.

Discovered te problem tonight!Turns out I had a program installed on my computer which was blocking ads and popups, without me realizing it was there!I stumbled upon it, removed it, and all of a sudden, I have ads in GenVibe, and all the IMs I received in the last week or so just shot up. YAY!Too bad I didn't know this was the original problem before I started doing crazy things on my machine to fix it...
