Yes, this has been experienced by quite a few '09 owners here.Thread #1Thread #2Thread #3Thread #4Thread #5Thread #6Thread #7Thread #8Thread #9Fortunately for me, I noticed that both my mom's and my '09 GTs had the center caps already siliconed so we have not experienced this problem thank goodness.

Hey Bahama Todd,2 of my centre caps fell out, so I went to my dealer's parts department and the guy there said that I should talk to service as that is definitely covered by warranty. By the day of my appointment, a third one had come out! They said that it was a common problem with the 2009's and that the 2010 centre caps were built a little differently and they won't come out. They do look a little different, so they replaced all my centre caps, and siliconed them in just to be extra sure they won't come out! Good Luck

latest part number for the caps is 20835338, no silicone required with this newest design

Should I ask my dealer to replace mine with the newest ones? I called for them to order me one.. My warranty is almost up and I can imagine with my luck I will loose the other three..

had the same problem, lost two complete sets, first replaced by dealer, second set I replaced on my own with the PN listed above. As a guarantee, I bought an extra set so I know I'll never need to replace again. When replacing it's a good idea to give the cavity a good cleaning and a few coats of sealant, along with the new caps to prevent any corrosion from starting!!

I still don't have a center cap. The dealer told me that they looked and there was no supply or something like that. He told me he would call when they found some.. I have a feeling its going to be a while.

Anybody got denied by GM over replacing the center caps? They just told me that the GM service bulletin does not exist.

just to beat a dead horse and zombify the center cap missing wheel threads, the "new" center caps with the part number 20835338 look exactly the same size- and dimension-wise as the old, "silicone required" caps. the only difference i saw was the color of the plastic teeth; the old were gray, the new ones (shown to me at the parts counter) were black. otherwise, they were mirror images... ::EDIT::they fit. the circumference of the ring of teeth on the new caps is slightly larger than the old, which makes the new ones fit perfectly...like they should have from the start.
